GAME OVER CYCLE #1

"GAME OVER: The End Is Here" originated from an urge I developed for merging dark comedy with the charm of children's television shows. Drawing inspiration from iconic programs like "Sesame Street," "Davey & Goliath," "SNL," "Wunder Showzen," and the "PBS News Hour," I meticulously crafted the themes and aesthetics of the series. By adopting a visual structure that feels familiar to viewers, yet offers a unique twist, I aimed to captivate and engage audiences in a wholly original way.

GAME OVER CYCLE STILLS

These animation cycles represent the culmination of a decade-long journey in independent animation and video production. Throughout this period, I dedicated myself persistently to creating approximately 30 short one-minute films that now form the core content of this absurdist comedic television pilot/video art project.

The duplicitous nature of the content gives the audience permission to examine, digest and entertain ideas so abhorrent and "Problematic"  they normally would ignore and admonish  without any rationale other than it upsets their feelings.

This project transcends the boundaries of mere entertainment, offering commentary on the complexities and fragility of modern Western civilization. From climate change, political dysfunction, social media addiction to the decline of the middle class each episodentertwines satire, absurdity, and a profound sense of irony to serve as a poignant reflection on the current state of affairs. By employing a humorous and irreverent perspective examining the ways in which our society is collapsing the viewer will learn to love the way in which we are all being destroyed by our own desires.

From GAME OVER CYCLES

Ultimately my goal for "GAME OVER: The End Is Here" is to confront the viewer with the  uncomfortable truths that we all face as individuals in a profundly sick society.

By forcing the viewer to acknowledge their role in the unraveling of our civilization will allow them to find solace in the absurdity of it all. Ultimately inviting us to reflect, question, and find meaning in the demise of our world.
